Category A : Heirloom (Past)
Heirloom jewellery is precious because of the emotions and memories behind it and revamping them will bring new life and beauty. Transform Heirloom jewellery into modern treasures by redesigning a piece of heirloom that will continue to tell its story to the next generation.
Category B : Racial Harmony (Present)
Celebrate Singapore’s success as a racially harmonious nation and society built on a rich diversity of culture and heritage. Design a piece of jewellery that represents the multiracial and multicultural country that Singapore is today.
Category C : Future of Us (Future)
What is your vision for a beautiful city like Singapore in the near future? Modernize an iconic subject of Singapore as your jewellery masterpiece.
Please accompany your submissions with a short write-up of maximum 100 words, stating the inspirations behind your designs and how your designs are related to the themes.
Materials Requirement for Jewellery
Participants may choose to design using:
1) 1 kind of gemstone (up to a maximum of 20 carats) for each category, together with the setting stones OR
2) Mix of different gemstones (up to a maximum of 20 carats in total) for each category, together with the setting stones
1. Red Garnet
2. Purple Amethyst
3. Blue Topaz
1. Diamond size – 2 pointers to 5 pointers
2. Up to a maximum of 2 carats
